From the book Rivington School or Wat by Amr G. Shaker:
'Apart from his activities as a director of No Se No, Toyo Tsuchiya has done an excellent job in photo-documenting the history of the Rivington School. As a result, without his contributions, this book would have been impossible to produce.
Tsuchiya is a professional photographer who is very conscious of the spontaneous value of events; and like all reporters, he is in constant quest for the right “moment”. According to him, the streets feature unique qualities: these of the unpredictable and the ephemeral. In documenting the Rivington School on a regular basis “because no two days were alike”, he has succeeded in capturing a “moment” that will go down in history.
Among other activities, Tsuchiya also prepares artists portfolios, and dabbles in Xerox art and artistic photography.'
